King Cobra

Snake Facts:
  • King Cobra (Ophiophagus Hannah) is the longest venomous snake in the world
  • It can grow up to 18 ½ feet
  • Fully grown snake weighs around 20 pounds
  • Male king cobras tend have a wider head and are generally very long
  • King Cobras have sharp fangs with teeth turned inwards
  • The snake has one of the longest forked tongues of all snake species, and they use the tongue to sense the environment around them
  • King Cobras are a few of the species with a very good vision and they can identify prey up to 300 feet away
  • King Cobras are very aggressive and will hiss holding their head high when they are about to strike
  • These species are mainly found around India and Asia
